Our client, renowned for creating exceptional luxury experiences through design and innovation in hospitality, is seeking a Junior Accountant to support their finance team.
Overview of Key Responsibilities and Duties are as follows but not limited to:
Responsibilities:
Assist the team with month end procedures to ensure accuracy and timely financial reporting.
Reconcile balance sheet and bank accounts monthly, identifying discrepancies and ensuring accurate records.
Produce and analyze detailed payroll reports each month, while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
Prepare statutory returns including VAT.
Support the CFO in the budget preparation, year-end, forecasts, cash flows and actively partakes in weekly and monthly departmental meetings.
Prepares comprehensive audit files to facilitate a smooth and efficient audit process.
Maintains open and effective communication within the finance department, promptly addressing any issues and ensuring the CFO is kept informed of critical updates.
Safeguards the financial integrity of the organization by implementing, reviewing, and maintaining sound financial controls, procedures, and best practices.
The potential candidate will ideally possess the following skills and qualities:
Hold a degree or be in the process of obtaining a degree in Business Management with a specialization in Accountancy, or an ACCA qualification.
Be proficient in computer use, with familiarity in accounting management software.
Knowledge of Hotel PMS systems such as The New Hotel, Micros POS, and Shireburn SFM will be considered an asset.
Have a solid understanding of local legislation related to finance, taxation, and employment.
Demonstrate strong and proven leadership, influencing, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Be self-motivated, capable of working under pressure, and able to meet tight deadlines.
Possess excellent organizational skills.
Project a professional image in line with the company's values.
Have a strong command of the English language.
Exhibit excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Be highly accurate and detail oriented.
