Software Architect - Hybrid

We currently have a vacancy for a Software Architect fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the companys premises or on-site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated with the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major clients IT team on site.

Your tasks

• Work within the agile process and take decisions regarding priority, business value, and functionality for all the work done by the agile development team;
• Manage the contractors in charge of the development of the project, and the separate contractor in charge of quality assessment;
• Oversee the development of the project which includes steering, through daily contacts, of the contractor on matters related to requirements elicitation, architecture development, code testing;
• Review deliverable and demonstrable product version/software functionalities after every sprint;
• Organize live demonstration of the product at the end of the sprint;
• Evaluate prioritization and resolution of defects/bugs.

Requirements

• Masters degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 13 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• Excellent experience with large, enterprise-level multi-user Information Systems;
• Excellent experience in Agile and in agile toolbox (i.e. JIRA, Confluence, Big Picture, Giffy, Balsamiq, etc.);
• Excellent knowledge of Application Management Lifecycle;
• Good Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, COBIT, Zachman;
• Experience developing and building models based on architecture frameworks;
• Experience in creating technical documentation;
• The following certificates and standards are strongly recommended: Scrum Product Owner, Project Management Professional, PMI, PRINCE2 Foundation, PM², ITIL v4 certification.
• Excellent command of the English language.
