About the job Business Analyst

We currently have a vacancy for a Business Analyst fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the companys premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major clients IT team on site.

Your tasks:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of business processes and user needs to define and design clear and comprehensive data/reporting/dashboarding requirements;
  • Work closely with data architects and database developers to design and model data structures that align with business requirements;
  • Translate business requirements to a business case, describing As Is vs To Be and providing a Fit-Gap analysis;
  • Test and validate the proposed reports and dashboards and its functionalities making sure it correctly reflects the data from the source systems;
  • Ιmplement and oversee data quality standards, ensuring that data is accurate, consistent and reliable;
  • Collaborate with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) developers to define data integration requirements;
  • Evaluate the impact of changes to business processes on the data warehouse.

Requirements

  • University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 13 years of relevant working experience in IT;
  • Hands-on experience as a Business Analyst in the context of reporting, data visualization and Qlik Sense dashboarding;
  • Extensive knowledge and practical experience of analysis/modelling tools and techniques (use case diagram, state diagram, entity relationship model etc.);
  • Ability to analyze complex business processes, understand the underlying data requirements and translate the processes into reports and dashboards;
  • Ability to develop test cases and perform user acceptance testing to ensure the data warehouse meets business requirements;
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. RUP, Agile);
  • Good understanding and experience to apply the SAFe methodology;
  • Knowledge of SQL for data exploration;
  • Familiarity with relevant technologies such as data integration tools, reporting tools and database management systems;
  • Understanding of change management principles and the ability to navigate changes within the data warehouse environment;
  • eProcurement business knowledge and specifically understanding the eProcurement concepts and processes will be an advantage;
  • Excellent command of the English language.
