Our client is a well-established restaurant offering authentic Maltese and Mediterranean cuisine at the heart of the Valletta Waterfront. They are now looking for experienced Chefs to join their culinary team and contribute to delivering high-quality dining experiences.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for Chefs at our clients restaurant in Valletta. The successful candidates will assist in menu preparation, oversee food production, maintain high standards of presentation, and ensure food quality and consistency at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook Maltese & Mediterranean dishes to a high standard.

  • Ensure food is prepared and presented in line with restaurant standards.

  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across all kitchen areas.

  • Assist with menu planning, food costing, and stock management.

  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.

  • Support junior staff with training and guidance when required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience working as a Chef (experience with Maltese/Mediterranean cuisine is a strong asset).

  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.

  • Awareness of food safety and hygiene standards.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • Team player with strong communication and organizational skills.

  • A culinary degree or certification is considered an advantage.

  • Applicants must already reside in Malta.
