Data Scientist Lending Analytics

About the Role

Were seeking an experienced Data Scientist to play a key role in shaping insights across our lending portfolio. This role is ideal for someone with a strong analytical background, deep business intuition, and proven expertise in building dashboards and visual analytics in Tableau or Power BI.
Youll be responsible for analysing the performance of our loan book, monitoring defaults, identifying trends, and helping drive strategic decisions with data.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards in Tableau or Power BI to monitor lending KPIs, including loan performance, repayments, delinquencies, and defaults
• Analyse large, complex datasets to uncover insights related to credit risk, customer behaviour, employee performance and portfolio trends
• Provide data-driven recommendations on changes to lending policies, risk strategies, and decision rules
• Develop and maintain reports that support management, risk, and operations teams
• Work cross-functionally to deliver actionable insights
• Automate performance reporting and support decision-making with statistical analysis
• Identify anomalies and potential early warning signs in loan performance
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytical tools, methods, and data governance

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or business intelligence
• Proven expertise in Tableau, Power BI, or similar dashboarding tools
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with data pipelines
• Ability to clean, transform and manage data generated and stored in Salesforce based lending system / database and other data sources
• Experience analysing performance in a lending, financial services, or credit risk environment
• Ability to present complex findings in a clear, concise, and visual way to stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills and business acumen
• Experience with Python, R, or statistical modelling
• Knowledge and experience of machine learning techniques preferred
• Ability to work independently

Educational Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or a related field
