Summary

The Finance Manager will be responsible for the financial health of Outforce by producing financial reports, directing investment activities, and developing strategies and plans for the long-term financial goals of the company. The person in this role will also oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, monitor and analyze accounting data, produce financial reports or statements, and establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Oversight and Strategy
    • Produce financial reports and direct investment activities.
    • Develop and implement strategies and plans for the long-term financial goals of the company.
    • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Conduct regular financial analysis and trend assessments.
    • Gather and monitor financial data (e.g., sales revenues and liabilities).
    • Forecast costs and revenues
  • Accounting and Internal Controls
    • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
    • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
    • Manage payroll processing and payroll-related compliances.
    • Ensure that invoicing and collection schedules are adhered to and vendor terms are maximized to support operational requirements.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Reporting
    • Lead compliance with statutory annual audits and tax reporting.
    • Handle all national and local government compliance requirements.
    • Ensure timely submission of all government reportorial requirements (e.g., SEC, BIR, PEZA).
    • Prepare Financial Statements for the Philippines and Australian entities, including the FS Consolidation process
  • Cash Flow and Budget Management
    • Prepare and monitor cash flow budgets to ensure sufficient liquidity.
    • Manage cash flow, including bank balances, cash requirements, and FX trading.
    • Prepare and review budgets and forecasts regularly with senior management.
    • Responsible for month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Lead, mentor, and supervise the finance team, including the Finance Officer and Compliance & AR Specialist.
    • Develop clear strategies and effectively communicate them to the team.
    • Provide guidance and support for team members to ensure efficient and effective performance.

Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • 7+ years of experience in a senior accounting or finance role.
  • Extensive experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of BIR audit and PEZA compliance.
  • Proficient in Xero Accounting System.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and leadership skills.
  • BPO industry experience.
  • Must be willing to work full-time onsite (Ortigas).
  • Knowledge of Australian accounting and government requirements (advantage).
