Business Analyst

About the role:

We are seeking a Business Analyst with Power BI experience to help us understand business needs, analyze data, and drive decisions through insights. While Power BI will be one of the tools you'll use, the focus of this role is on understanding business requirements, identifying opportunities for improvement, and providing actionable recommendations based on data analysis.

• Gather, document, and analyze business requirements from stakeholders.
• Develop process maps, workflows, and business models to understand current processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities for process optimization and enhanced efficiency.
• Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.
• Create reports and dashboards using Power BI to help visualize business metrics, but with a focus on business analysis rather than purely technical report development.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports, ensuring insights align with business objectives.
• Assist in identifying and troubleshooting issues within business processes and provide actionable solutions.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on business needs and solutions.

Essential skills, attributes and qualities:

• Bachelors degree in Business, IT, or a related field.

• Experience as a Business Analyst, with an understanding of business processes and requirements gathering.

• Working knowledge of Power BI or other reporting tools to present data insights, though deep technical expertise is not required.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Ability to adapt to different business needs and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously.
