Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented JIRA Administrator to join our systems and application to help support and manage the groups JIRA platform that is used across the entire business. The role will work with the wider group achieve business goals and drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Configure and customize Atlassian tools to meet the needs of various teams and projects.
  • Creating and managing custom workflows, screens, fields, and issue types in Jira to support different project and Teams requirements.
  • Setting up and maintaining custom dashboards and reports in Jira and Confluence to provide insights and track key metrics.
  • Implementing and managing custom permissions and security schemes to ensure appropriate access control across the Atlassian suite for both Australia and New Zealand end users.
  • Integrating Atlassian tools with other software and services (e.g., Salesforce and external applications) to streamline workflows and improve collaboration.
  • Developing and deploying custom scripts and automation rules using Jira Automation, ScriptRunner, or other tools to enhance functionality and efficiency.
  • Customizing Confluence spaces, templates, and macros to support documentation and knowledge-sharing needs.
  • Configuring Jira Service Management to support ITSM processes, including incident, problem, change, and service request management.
  • Setting up and managing Atlassian Guard, Atlas, and Compass to ensure comprehensive monitoring, tracking, and reporting of project and team performance.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of the Atlassian applications.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices within the Atlassian environment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures on confluence.
  • Provide training and support to users on Atlassian tools and best practices.
  • Continuously stay updated with the latest Atlassian product features, updates, and industry trends. Actively pursue personal development by obtaining additional certifications in the individual Atlassian products.

Education, capabilities, experience & knowledge

  • Proven experience as an Atlassian Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Atlassian products, including Confluence, Jira, and Jira Service Management.
  • Experience with Atlassian Guard, Atlas, and Compass, and is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certifications Minimum certification in Atlassian Cloud Organization is required, with additional certifications in individual Atlassian products being a plus.

  • Experience using Microsoft Teams
