Senior Management Accountant

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Management Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering timely and accurate financial insights through weekly and monthly performance reports, month-end financials, and customer account reconciliations. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, and preferably experience with MYOB.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver end-of-week business performance reports to support decision-making.
• Manage the end-of-month financial reporting process, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Conduct customer account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost control or revenue enhancement.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial policies and deadlines.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with accounting standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6+ years experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in management accounting.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, month-end close processes, and account reconciliation.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis tools).
• Experience with MYOB or similar accounting software is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
