About the job Senior Fund Accountant
Our Client is an ASX-200 listed investment manager specialising in real estate funds and investment bonds. The group has a strong growth focus, with assets under management of $21 billion as at 30 June 2023.
Our Client offers investments in listed and unlisted property across 460+ high quality office, industrial and healthcare buildings around Australia and New Zealand. The tasks and responsibilities for the role include, but not limited to:
- Monthly fund accounting including balance sheet reconciliations, analysis of
- commercial performance and cashflow management
- Covenant reporting for financing facilities
- Preparation of Statutory Financial Reporting for unit trusts and partnerships
- Preparation of tax calculations (GST and income tax)
- Covenant reporting for financing facilities
- Liaising with multiple stakeholders across business units
The ideal candidate will be a Senior Accountant, with minimum 5 years experience, that is Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Audit (CIA) qualified with business services or property fund experience. Big 4 or mid-tier CPA or CIA experience prior to commercial roles and experience in property / funds management will be highly regarded.
The ideal candidate will also be/have:
- Strong IFRS statutory reporting experience
- If possible, Australian tax experience
- System experience (OneSource Accounts Production for financial statements,
- MRI property management system)
- Team player, exhibits flexibility for different tasks and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and utilise a level of initiative
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise
- A high attention to detail
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
- Strong excel and analytical skills
- High outcome orientation and drive
