Investment Bond Fund Accountant

Overview:

We're seeking a detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join our investment team. This role is key in ensuring the accurate preparation and review of daily unit pricing (NAV), financial reporting, and compliance activities for Investment Bond funds.

You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, contribute to process improvement, and support junior team members making this a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for a motivated finance professional.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA qualification is a plus but not required
• 23 years experience in investment fund accounting or financial services
• Solid understanding of NAV calculations and general ledger processes
• Knowledge of capital/corporate transactions and fund structures

Technical Skills:

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
• Experience with Paxus is an advantage

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review daily unit prices (NAV) and support documentation
• Maintain general ledger entries and unit pricing systems
• Perform cash and portfolio reconciliations
• Prepare monthly management accounts and performance commentary
• Complete regulatory and tax reporting (e.g., BAS)
• Quarterly compliance lodgments
• Support statutory account drafting, preparing and audit processes (reconciliations and collating documents) from both internal and external parties.
• Respond to internal and external financial queries with analysis and insights
• Collaborating with other departments such as operations, fund management, and compliance
• Assist in training and supporting junior team members
• Drive improvements across daily/monthly accounting processes
