About the job Fund Accountant
Our Client is an ASX-listed specialist investment manager with a 25 year track record of delivering a range of products and services to investors, advisers and securityholders. Our client has $20.5 billion in assets under management (AUM). Our business is centred around property funds management, real estate debt and investment bonds.
Job Responsibilities:
- Preparation and review of daily unit prices and update of general ledger / unit pricing system and supporting work papers.
- Cash and Portfolio Reconciliations.
- Monthly management accounts preparation including commentary.
- Monthly regulatory and tax reporting (BAS etc).
- Quarterly compliance lodgements.
- Assist with drafting statutory accounts including reconciliations and collating documents.
- Multiple ad-hoc tasks including preparation of analysis in response to queries from both internal and external parties.
- Ability to assist other teams in the organisation (E.g fund management, operations, wider business) when required.
- Contribute to process improvement across daily/monthly tasks.
- Assist other departments/teams in preparing monthly tasks such as corporate reports and property funds unit prices.
- Train and assist junior fund accountant on daily basis

- Able to work with conflicting deadlines and priorities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or any equivalent. Familiar with tax calculations, property accountant with 2-3 years of accounting/finance experience.
- Intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications.
- CPA is a plus, not a requirement
