Test Analyst

As a Test Analyst, you will have the opportunity to do hands-on testing functionality and validating systems to meet design specifications and requirements documentation in an agile environment. This role will work in a collaborative environment alongside product owner, development team, and customer centre team. The Test Analyst will validate if functionality adheres to the requirements and identify risks and anomalies to obtain solutions for a fast-paced, data-driven and agile organization.

Responsibilities & duties:

• Requirement analysis and identifying Test Scenarios
• Understanding/ contribution to preparation of Test estimations
• Write test documents including test plan, test cases and test summaries
• Take ownership and accountability for end to end testing approach.
• Testing and signing off the release candidate code version.
• Assist in support for production releases.
• Attitude of breaking the system and making the system robust for users
• Participate in software architecture, design discussions.
• Own the quality for the feature delivered into production
• Work in agile environment, follow process guidelines and deliver tasks.
• Be proactive, take ownership and be accountable.
• Flexible and adaptable to new and changing project requirements.
• Must work well independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to multitask with proven tight deadline experience in a fast paced and dynamic environment

Work experience & skills

Essential qualifications

• 1-3 years IT testing experience.
• Good knowledge in Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC)
• Knowledge utilizing Atlassian Suite (Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Working Knowledge of SQL syntax for data validation
• Strong web testing and QA Methodologies within SDLC (Smoke, Regression, etc)
