XERO Bookkeeper
About the job XERO Bookkeeper
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Accounting:
- Maintain and update financial records using Xero accounting software.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and payments.
- Reconcile bank and trust accounts in accordance with legal accounting regulations.
- Generate and maintain accurate financial reports for management and legal partners.
- Assist with payroll processing and statutory compliance (Superannuation, BAS, PAYG).
Compliance & Reporting:
- Prepare and lodge BAS, GST, and other statutory obligations.
- Ensure compliance with ATO regulations and other financial policies.
- Support external accountants and auditors with necessary reports and documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience
- Worked in a LEGAL AREA IS A PLUS
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software (certification is a plus).
- Experience in legal billing, trust accounting, and handling client accounts (preferred).
- Strong understanding of Australian financial compliance, tax regulations, and payroll processing.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
