We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our IT team as an IT Support Specialist. Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support:
- Provide first-level technical support to users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems efficiently, escalating more complex issues as needed.
- Hardware and Software Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and peripherals.
- Assist in software installations, updates, and licensing compliance.
- Network Assistance:
- Monitor and maintain local and wide-area networks to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with setting up new network connections and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of IT issues and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Document IT procedures and create user guides as needed.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with team members on IT projects and initiatives.
- Assist in training users on basic IT functionalities and best practices.
- Security Awareness:
- Support IT security measures by ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Report any security breaches or vulnerabilities.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Skills:
- Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, cloud services, and common productivity software.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts (e.g., IP addresses, DNS, DHCP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience:
- Prior experience through internships, school projects, or freelance work is a plus.
- Certifications (Optional):
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications are advantageous.
