We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our IT team as an IT Support Specialist. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Support:
    • Provide first-level technical support to users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems efficiently, escalating more complex issues as needed.
  2. Hardware and Software Management:
    • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and peripherals.
    • Assist in software installations, updates, and licensing compliance.
  3. Network Assistance:
    • Monitor and maintain local and wide-area networks to ensure optimal performance.
    • Assist with setting up new network connections and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  4. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of IT issues and resolutions in the ticketing system.
    • Document IT procedures and create user guides as needed.
  5. Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with team members on IT projects and initiatives.
    • Assist in training users on basic IT functionalities and best practices.
  6. Security Awareness:
    • Support IT security measures by ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
    • Report any security breaches or vulnerabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Skills:
    • Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux).
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, cloud services, and common productivity software.
    • Understanding of basic networking concepts (e.g., IP addresses, DNS, DHCP).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience:
    • Prior experience through internships, school projects, or freelance work is a plus.
  • Certifications (Optional):
    • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications are advantageous.
