Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Move-In and Move-Out Coordinator to manage the leasing lifecycle for our property management clients. This role is responsible for overseeing resident transitions, ensuring legal compliance, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, and delivering excellent customer service to both incoming and outgoing residents.
Key Responsibilities
Move-In Coordination

Complete AppFolio move-in workflows accurately and on time

Ensure lease documents are fully executed and resident information is properly recorded

Coordinate inspections, rent-ready statuses, and lockbox installations
-
Communicate with applicants and residents regarding move-in timelines and requirements
-
Review approved applications and send relevant documents
Move-Out Coordination

Manage AppFolio move-out workflows and track unit status
-
Schedule final inspections, utility transfers, and cleaning or repair services
-
Prepare and send SODAs (Statements of Deposit Accounting) in compliance with state timelines
-
Reconcile and track damages and other post-move-out charges
-
Ensure smooth and legal offboarding of residents
Resident & Client Communication

Provide prompt, courteous responses to resident inquiries
-
Maintain clear communication with internal teams, property managers, and vendors
-
Log all communication and updates in AppFolio daily
Administrative Support

Check and respond to emails and voicemails within 24 hours
-
Attend team meetings to provide updates and suggest process improvements
-
Maintain organized records in AppFolio and shared drives
-
Support leasing and operations teams with documentation and data entry
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
-
At least 1-2 years of experience in leasing coordination, property management, or customer service

Experience using property management software (AppFolio preferred)
-
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
-
High attention to detail and ability to manage time-sensitive workflows

Familiarity with U.S. landlord-tenant laws and fair housing regulations

Proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
Preferred:

Experience coordinating both move-ins and move-outs across multiple properties

Knowledge of SODA compliance and regional legal requirements

Previous remote work experience in the real estate industry
