Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Healthcare Virtual Assistant (VA) to provide administrative and support services to healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience in the healthcare industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Manage emails, schedule appointments, and coordinate calendars for healthcare professionals.
  • Medical Data Entry: Input patient information, update medical records, and ensure data accuracy in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
  • Insurance & Billing Support: Assist with medical billing, insurance claims processing, and patient invoicing.
  • Patient Coordination: Schedule and confirm patient appointments, follow up on referrals, and provide customer service support.
  • Transcription & Documentation: Transcribe medical notes, summarize reports, and maintain organized documentation.
  • Compliance & Confidentiality: Adhere to HIPAA and other relevant healthcare data privacy regulations.
  • Communication Management: Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and relay messages between patients and providers.
  • Telehealth Assistance: Support virtual consultations, ensuring smooth coordination between providers and patients.
  • Research & Reporting: Conduct research on medical topics, compile reports, and present findings to healthcare teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 1-2 years in a healthcare or medical-related administrative role.
  • Education: A background in healthcare, medical administration, or related fields is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in EHR/EMR systems, Microsoft Office, and scheduling tools.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Organization & Attention to Detail: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Confidentiality: Understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality requirements.
  • Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-first approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with telemedicine platforms.
  • Familiarity with medical billing and coding practices.
  • Certification in medical administration or virtual assistance.
  • Bilingual proficiency (if required by the client).
