Job Summary
We are looking for a Community Administrator (Affordable Housing Specialist) to manage administrative and compliance tasks related to affordable housing programs. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with tenants, property managers, and housing authorities. The ideal candidate should be experienced in property management, delinquency collection, and affordable housing regulations.
Responsibilities

Manage delinquency collection, move-outs, and lease renewals for affordable housing properties.

Handle administrative tasks related to affordable housing programs, including documentation and reporting.

Communicate professionally with tenants, property managers, and housing authorities to address concerns and ensure smooth operations.

Ensure compliance with affordable housing regulations, including Fair Housing laws and program requirements.

Maintain accurate records in property management systems, ensuring data integrity and timely updates.

Assist in processing applications, income certifications, and recertifications for affordable housing eligibility.

Monitor and track subsidy payments, rent adjustments, and other financial transactions.

Prepare and submit reports required by housing authorities and property owners.

Stay updated on changes in affordable housing laws and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills
Required:

Minimum 2 years of experience in affordable housing administration or property management.

Knowledge of affordable housing regulations, including HUD, LIHTC, and Section 8 programs.

Experience in delinquency collection, lease renewals, and move-out processes.

Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, Rent Manager, or similar).

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Ability to work independently and ensure compliance with housing policies.
Preferred:

Experience working with housing authorities and subsidy programs.
