Company Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator VA to join our team. This remote position supports our logistics and operations team to streamline processes, manage supply chains, and improve efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Order and Shipment Coordination:
- Coordinate and monitor incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Track shipment schedules, update order statuses, and address any delays or issues.
- Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and customers regarding shipment statuses.
- Inventory Management:
- Manage inventory levels, order restocking when necessary, and report on inventory status.
- Work with team members to ensure accurate records and updates in the system.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Prepare shipping documents such as invoices, bills of lading, and customs forms.
- Ensure compliance with international and local shipping regulations.
- Maintain organized records of all logistics documents.
- Vendor and Customer Communication:
- Serve as a point of contact between logistics partners, vendors, and internal departments.
- Address queries and troubleshoot issues related to shipping, inventory, and delivery.
- Data Management and Reporting:
- Update and maintain logistics databases and systems with accurate data.
- Generate regular reports on inventory, delivery schedules, and costs for management review.
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and reduce costs.
- Support the team in implementing new tools and technologies for operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in US logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Familiarity with logistics software like SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for vendor and team coordination.
- Organization: Excellent time management and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly identify issues, troubleshoot, and implement solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with international shipping procedures and documentation.
- Proficiency in inventory management software.
