Job Overview:
The AP Specialist is responsible for managing the company's accounts payable process, ensuring that invoices are processed accurately and payments to vendors are made on time. You will work closely with the finance team to maintain accurate financial records and assist with financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Verify invoice details and match with purchase orders and receipts.
- Manage payment schedules and prepare payment runs.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of all payable transactions.
- Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Prepare reports on accounts payable status for management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with US accounts payable processes and regulations is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
