Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of property management activities. The ideal candidate will assist with tenant communication, leasing, maintenance coordination, and administrative tasks to ensure properties run smoothly and meet owner expectations.
Responsibilities
- Support property managers in daily operations and tenant relations.
- Coordinate and schedule property maintenance and repairs.
- Assist with tenant move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals.
- Manage rent collection, late payment notices, and payment follow-ups.
- Maintain and update property management software with accurate records.
- Draft and distribute tenant communications, such as notices and announcements.
- Generate reports on property performance and financials.
- Assist with marketing efforts to fill property vacancies.
- Handle administrative tasks, including data entry, file management, and email correspondence.
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
- 1-2 years of experience in property management or related roles (1+ year).
- Proficiency in property management software (e.g., AppFolio, Buildium, Yardi).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with US property management laws and regulations.
- Experience in leasing coordination or tenant management.
- Knowledge of financial reporting and property marketing strategies.
