Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Data Scientist to lead our data-driven initiatives and provide actionable insights that drive business growth. The role involves analyzing large volumes of e-commerce and customer data, building predictive models, and translating complex findings into strategic recommendations. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with the ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders, helping guide decision-making in marketing, product, pricing, and supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities

Collect, clean, and analyze datasets on customer behavior, sales performance, and marketing effectiveness.

Build predictive models to forecast sales, optimize inventory, and anticipate customer preferences.

Perform customer segmentation and lifetime value analysis to support retention strategies.

Design and evaluate A/B tests for features, pricing, and campaigns.

Create dashboards and reports to track KPIs and communicate insights to stakeholders.

Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to identify opportunities and implement data-driven solutions.
Qualifications and Skills
Required:

Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role (preferably in e-commerce, retail, or distribution).

Strong proficiency in Python or R, with expertise in Pandas, NumPy, and SQL.

Experience with machine learning frameworks (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch).

Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Matplotlib/Seaborn).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a remote setting.
Preferred:

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Familiarity with supply chain or logistics data.

Knowledge of NLP techniques for analyzing customer reviews or social media.

Experience with the UK e-commerce and retail landscape.
