Description:

A growing technology solutions provider is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to support continued expansion across the Central United States. This role focuses on developing new business while managing and growing existing accounts within both military and commercial markets.

The ideal candidate is a results-oriented sales professional with a strong bias toward action and a track record of driving revenue through disciplined account management and new business development. This individual will operate across a broad customer base, working closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver solutions aligned with customer needs.

Compensation:

  • $120,000 to $155,000 base salary, plus comprehensive benefits and a very competitive bonus package

Travel:

  • Up to 50 percent, including customer visits and industry events

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business opportunities while managing and expanding existing customer accounts across the region
  • Map, prioritize, and penetrate target accounts across military and commercial markets
  • Manage and support multiple sales representatives and partner organizations, holding them accountable to performance and revenue generation
  • Engage customers at all levels, from technical buyers to executive leadership, with strong presentation and communication skills
  • Identify and qualify opportunities, coordinate regional travel to meet with customers, and maintain a consistent pipeline of business
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand customer requirements and support responses to RFPs and RFQs
  • Respond to inbound inquiries generated through marketing and business development efforts
  • Deliver presentations to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records of customer activity, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM tools such as Salesforce and supporting tools such as Excel
  • Partner with leadership on sales planning, forecasting, and execution of regional growth strategies

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field, preferably Engineering or Management
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B sales, ideally within power electronics or related technical equipment
  • Experience selling into defense or government customers strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of CRM and ERP systems
  • Experience developing customer quotes and proposals
  • Experience with lead generation and pipeline management
  • Strong leadership, self-motivation, and time management skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to operate independently and manage a large geographic territory
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Experience managing manufacturers' representative firms
  • Formal sales training such as Sandler or Miller Heiman
  • Experience using government contract research tools such as Bloomberg Government or similar platforms
