Location: Arlington, VA area (Remote within local commuting distance)
Salary Range: $130,000 – $165,000 (DOE) + Comprehensive Benefits
Clearance: Active Secret clearance required

Overview:

Osprey Talent Solutions is supporting a national security partner seeking a Mid-Level Forward Deployed Engineer to support delivery of advanced data analytics and operational dashboards for Army stakeholders. This role supports a mission-driven digital transformation initiative focused on delivering real-time operational insights to government decision makers.

You will work within a small agile delivery team building and deploying analytical dashboards and supporting platform engineering tasks within a secure cloud-based data environment. The position operates in two-week sprint cycles and collaborates regularly with senior engineers and government stakeholders.

The Role:

As a Mid-Level FDE, you will contribute directly to the development and deployment of analytical capabilities supporting mission users. You will help build dashboard features, support CI/CD pipeline tasks, and work closely with senior engineers to deliver production-ready capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop front-end analytical dashboards within a modern data platform environment
• Support CI/CD pipeline configuration, including build scripts, automated testing, and deployment workflows
• Implement metric definitions and data transformations aligned to platform data models
• Produce technical documentation including configuration notes, runbooks, and sprint artifacts
• Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and sprint reviews
• Conduct testing and validation to ensure dashboards function correctly and data aligns with defined metrics
• Identify integration issues and collaborate with senior engineers to resolve blockers within sprint cycles
  Support defect resolution and iterative improvements to maintain operational performance

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry including pipelines, Workshop or Slate, and ontology modeling
• Approximately 3 or more years of software engineering experience in a technical delivery role
• Proficiency with Python, TypeScript, or Java within modern data platforms or cloud environments
• Experience supporting government or secure environments is a plus
• Active Secret clearance required at time of hire. Sponsorship is not available
• Comfortable working in fast-moving small technical teams with direct mission impact
  
• Military or DoD experience is valued but not required
