Overview

Osprey Talent Solutions is supporting a U.S.-based engineering and manufacturing organization that delivers highly reliable power and energy solutions for mission-critical defense and commercial applications.

The organization is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive growth across the Central United States. This individual will be responsible for expanding market presence, developing new business opportunities, and managing strategic customer relationships across both government and commercial sectors.

The role requires a results-oriented sales professional capable of operating independently, building strong customer relationships, and driving revenue growth in technically complex markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow new business opportunities while managing existing accounts throughout the assigned region.
  • Engage customers across multiple levels of an organization, from technical stakeholders to senior executive leadership.
  • Work closely with manufacturer representatives and channel partners to drive sales activity and close new opportunities.
  • Identify and qualify new customer opportunities within defense and commercial markets.
  • Coordinate regional travel to meet with prospective and existing customers, industry partners, and representatives.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline visibility across monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles.
  • Collaborate with internal technical and capture teams to develop solutions that address customer requirements and support proposal responses.
  • Respond to inbound inquiries generated through marketing and corporate channels.
  • Deliver presentations to customers, partners, and internal leadership as required.
  • Maintain opportunity tracking and account activity within CRM platforms while supporting forecasting and pipeline reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required, preferably in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field. MBA is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in B2B technical sales within defense, industrial, or advanced technology sectors.
  • Experience selling into Department of Defense or related government customers is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing or coordinating with manufacturer sales representatives or channel partners is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of CRM and ERP platforms, with experience maintaining opportunity pipelines and forecasts.
  • Experience preparing customer quotes, proposals, and sales documentation.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior decision makers.
  • Highly self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining close collaboration with internal teams.
  • Experience using government market intelligence tools such as Bloomberg Government or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50 percent, including attendance at industry events and trade shows.

Location

Candidates should reside within the Central United States with DFW or Chicago strongly preferred, and must have convenient access to a major airport.
