Software Engineer - Senior

Location: Chantilly, VA
Clearance: Active TS/SCI required. Agency polygraph will be sponsored.
Salary Range: $135,000 – $155,000 DOE + Comprehensive Benefits Package

Overview:

Osprey Talent Solutions is supporting a mission-focused national security partner seeking a Senior Software Engineer to architect, develop, and deploy secure, scalable applications within a complex, multi-enclave enterprise environment.

This role supports advanced data processing and analytics systems operating across classified domains. The selected candidate will contribute to system design, integration, and optimization efforts while ensuring performance, security, and long-term maintainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy secure software solutions supporting enterprise mission systems
• Contribute to architecture decisions for distributed and data-intensive applications
• Integrate third-party components and implement custom capabilities
• Support large-scale data processing and analytics workflows
• Automate operational and maintenance tasks
• Participate across the full software development lifecycle including planning, development, testing, and quality assurance
• Contribute to architecture reviews and technical milestone discussions
• Provide technical mentorship and promote development best practices
• Collaborate across engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure seamless integration

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Eight or more years of experience in software engineering.
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Strong proficiency in one or more core languages such as Java, Python, or C#
• Experience designing and implementing complex system architectures.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL
• Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience working with cloud platforms supporting national security missions
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices, scalability design, and DevSecOps principles
• Experience integrating messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Redis

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with Elasticsearch, Splunk, or similar data platforms
• Experience supporting large-scale data streaming or integration technologies
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform)
• Experience working in microservices-based architectures
• Experience supporting classified, multi-enclave environments

Work Environment:

• On-site in Chantilly, VA
• U.S. citizenship required. Must be eligible to complete agency-specific polygraph requirements
