**Position: Clerk of Work / Site Manager**

*Location*: Lakenheath, UK (US Airbase)
*Requirements*: Must hold UKSC
*Contract*: Ongoing, outside IR35
*Day Rate*: £250 - £300
*Must be on-site 5 days a week

The role encompasses a myriad of responsibilities, such as providing engineering insights, facilitating planning and programming, spearheading design development, and synchronizing with the existing physical plant on assorted projects.

Qualifications:

- NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Site Inspection

Experience:

- A minimum of five (5) years of tangible experience in inspection and quality assurance, encompassing construction or refurbishment of facilities, buildings, roadways, and building systems.

Desirable Certifications:

1. Affiliation with the Institute of Clerk of Works

2. Registration with the Engineering Council

Job Responsibilities:

1. Maintain consistent on-site attendance or conduct systematic site visits.

2. Exhibit keen oversight in inspecting a broad spectrum of technical facets of construction.

3. Develop proficiency in relevant diagrams and written instructions, utilizing them as benchmarks during inspections.

4. Execute visual examinations of work on site.

5. Engage in on-site measurements and sampling to ensure conformity with specifications and quality parameters.

6. Stay abreast with statutory mandates and verify compliance.

7. Possess and apply a comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations, and promptly highlight any discrepancies to the relevant parties.

8. Diligently compile detailed records related to various aspects of construction, and generate periodic reports for the architect, planner, or client.
