Your role will involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, applying BIM principles, and utilizing specialised software to develop accurate and coordinated models. You will contribute to the successful execution of railway projects by ensuring the integration of various design components and facilitating effective communication among project stakeholders.

Hybrid - Must be willing to travel internationally, including flights, hotel and expenses paid.

Day rate - Outside IR35 depending on experience.

Contract - 2 years

Key Responsibilities

  1. BIM Model Creation
    1. Develop detailed BIM models for railway infrastructure elements, such as tracks, stations, bridges, tunnels, signaling systems, and related components, using specialized BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Bentley MicroStation, etc.).
  2. Collaboration
    1. Work closely with architects, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to integrate their design inputs into the BIM model, ensuring accurate representation and coordination of project elements.
  3. Standards Adherence
    1. Follow established BIM standards, protocols, and guidelines to maintain consistency, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications.
  4. Model Coordination
    1. Identify and resolve clashes or conflicts between different design disciplines by participating in coordination meetings and using clash detection tools.
  5. Model Enhancement
    1. Continuously improve the BIM model's quality by incorporating design changes, updates, and revisions based on feedback and evolving project requirements.
  6. Interdisciplinary Integration
    1. Collaborate with various project teams to integrate their respective BIM models into a consolidated model, ensuring a coordinated design approach.
  7. Data Management
    1. Organize, manage, and maintain BIM model files, libraries, and databases, adhering to version control and data security protocols.
  8. Technical Expertise
    1. Stay updated on the latest developments in BIM software and techniques, and utilize scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Dynamo) to enhance modeling efficiency and accuracy.
  9. Quality Control
    1. Perform regular checks on the BIM models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
  10. Communication
    1. Effectively communicate BIM-related information to project stakeholders, providing insights into model progress, challenges, and solutions.
  11. Training and Support
    1. Provide training and support to colleagues and junior team members on BIM software, best practices, and workflows.
  12. Innovation
    1. Explore innovative approaches and technologies to enhance BIM processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery.

Qualifications and Requirements
