The Onboarding Specialist will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and welcoming transition for new employees as they join our organization. This role will oversee the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring that new hires are properly integrated into the company culture, equipped with the resources they need to succeed, and set up for long-term success in their roles.
Key Responsibilities:

Onboarding Process Management:

Oversee the entire onboarding process for new hires, from pre-boarding to the completion of their initial onboarding period.

Ensure new employees are provided with all necessary resources and materials, including access to relevant systems, equipment, and tools.

Coordinate with HR, IT, and other departments to ensure all onboarding tasks are completed on time and accurately.

Employee Orientation:

Conduct engaging and informative new hire orientations, introducing employees to Orvix Engineerings company culture, values, policies, and procedures.

Provide an overview of employee benefits, compliance requirements, and organizational structure.

Ensure new employees have a clear understanding of their roles, expectations, and available support systems.

New Hire Integration & Support:

Act as the main point of contact for new hires during their initial onboarding period, answering questions and offering assistance as needed.

Help new employees integrate into their teams by facilitating introductions, providing information on team structures, and fostering connections.

Ensure that new hires feel supported and welcomed as they transition into their roles.

Documentation & Compliance:

Ensure that all required new hire documentation, including contracts, tax forms, and identification records, are completed and properly filed.

Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards during the onboarding process.

Maintain accurate records of all new hire activities, tracking progress through the onboarding process and ensuring timely completion of required tasks.

Training & Development:

Collaborate with training coordinators and department managers to ensure new hires receive relevant training and professional development resources.

Coordinate initial job training and development schedules for new employees.

Track and assess the effectiveness of onboarding training and make recommendations for improvement.

Feedback & Continuous Improvement:

Gather feedback from new hires regarding their onboarding experience through surveys, interviews, or informal check-ins.

Analyze feedback and recommend improvements to the onboarding process based on employee insights and industry best practices.

Work with HR leadership to continuously improve onboarding materials, processes, and initiatives to ensure they align with company goals and culture.

Collaboration with Hiring Managers:

Work closely with hiring managers to ensure they are prepared for the arrival of new employees, including setting up necessary workspaces and access to tools.

Support hiring managers in ensuring new hires understand their roles and expectations during the initial phase of employment.

Monitor new hire progress, addressing any issues or concerns as they arise, and ensure they receive the necessary resources to succeed in their roles.

Required Qualifications:
-
Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience:
1+ years of experience in onboarding, human resources, or employee relations.

Strong knowledge of onboarding best practices, HR compliance, and employee training.
-
Experience working in a fast-paced or technical/engineering environment is a plus.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HRIS software (Workday, BambooHR, or similar).

Familiarity with employee benefits systems and other HR tools.

Ability to manage multiple onboarding tasks simultaneously with a high level of organization.

Job Types: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
