Orvix Engineering is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. The Business Analyst will play a key role in analyzing and improving the processes, systems, and operations that support our engineering projects and business goals. You will work closely with stakeholders across various departments, including engineering, operations, and project management, to gather, document, and analyze requirements, ensuring that business needs are met through effective and efficient solutions.

Note: The role is strictly for candidate within the United States.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of business operations, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders. You will contribute to optimizing workflows, improving project outcomes, and driving the company's success by identifying opportunities for innovation and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Requirements Gathering & Analysis:

    • Work closely with key stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and senior leadership, to gather and document business requirements for new projects and ongoing operations.

    • Analyze business needs, identify key issues, and recommend solutions that align with the companys strategic goals.

    • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development teams, ensuring clarity and alignment with business objectives.

  2. Process Improvement & Optimization:

    • Evaluate existing business processes and systems to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.

    • Work with teams to design and implement process improvements that streamline operations and improve the effectiveness of engineering projects and business activities.

    • Analyze data and metrics to assess the effectiveness of process changes and ensure they meet performance goals.

  3. Project Support & Coordination:

    • Collaborate with project teams to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

    • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure timely and successful project execution.

    • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams to ensure effective communication and project alignment.

  4. Data Analysis & Reporting:

    • Conduct detailed data analysis to support decision-making and performance measurement within projects and operations.

    • Develop and maintain business performance reports and dashboards that provide insights into key business metrics.

    • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders, helping to guide business strategies and decision-making.

  5. Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration:

    • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment of business objectives and technical solutions.

    • Regularly update stakeholders on project status, risks, and any potential issues that may impact project success.

    • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations to support business decisions and project outcomes.

  6. Documentation & Knowledge Management:

    • Create clear and concise documentation of business processes, system requirements, and project specifications.

    • Maintain a knowledge repository for best practices, project documentation, and process workflows to ensure continuous improvement.

  7. Risk Management & Issue Resolution:

    • Identify potential risks and issues in projects, operations, and business processes.

    • Proactively develop risk mitigation strategies and work with relevant teams to resolve issues as they arise.

    • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any challenges that may hinder the progress or success of a project.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience:

    • 1+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in an engineering or technical industry.

    • Proven experience with business process modeling, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management.

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with data and extract actionable insights.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in business analysis tools, project management software, and data analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Power BI, JIRA, or similar).

    • Familiarity with business process modeling languages (e.g., BPMN) and methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Agile).

    • Basic knowledge of engineering processes and terminology is a plus.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information to a diverse audience.

    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.

    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour

Experience: 1 year (Preferred)

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: Hybrid
