This is a remote role strictly for candidates within the United States.
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our engineering firm. In this role, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will analyze processes, gather requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements that enhance operational efficiency and project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering:
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and clients, to identify and document business needs and requirements.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and surveys to gather comprehensive information.
- Process Analysis:
- Analyze current business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
- Develop process maps and documentation to visualize current state and propose future state solutions.
- Solution Design:
- Work with technical teams to design solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Evaluate and recommend software tools, technologies, and systems to support project objectives.
- Project Management Support:
- Assist project managers in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Data Analysis:
- Analyze data trends, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform decision-making.
- Develop reports and dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between business units and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of requirements.
- Prepare and present findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders and management.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT):
- Develop test cases and assist in conducting UAT to validate that solutions meet business needs before implementation.
- Gather feedback from users and make recommendations for enhancements.
- Training and Support:
- Assist in developing training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users on new systems and processes.
- Provide ongoing support to users after implementation to address questions and resolve issues.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the organization.
- Advocate for a culture of continuous improvement and facilitate initiatives that drive operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; a masters degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in an engineering or technical environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Six Sigma).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with project management software (e.g., JIRA, Asana) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with engineering processes, project life cycles, and technical terminology.
- Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) or related fields is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time
Pay: From $28.50 - $35.50 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday (8 hours daily)
Expected hours: 40 per week
