Job Description
- Manage litigation calendaring, deadlines, and court-related scheduling
- Prepare, file, and serve documents in California state and federal courts
- Maintain and organize electronic case files and litigation documents
- Draft and revise boilerplate pleadings, discovery shells, subpoenas, deposition notices, and related materials
- Prepare binders, exhibits, and supporting materials for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials
- Assist with document productions and overall case management
- Create and format tables of contents and tables of authorities
- Support attorneys with special projects and day-to-day litigation needs
- Help keep cases moving efficiently in a busy, deadline-driven environment
Qualifications
- 3+ years of litigation paralegal and/or legal assistant experience
- Strong knowledge of California state and federal court filing procedures, deadlines, and rules
- Experience with calendaring litigation deadlines and maintaining case files
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and legal document management systems
- Strong proofreading, formatting, grammar, and communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively
