Location: This is a fully on-site position based in Hazelwood, Missouri, offering strong day-to-day collaboration with leadership and operations.
Note: To be considered, candidates must have an accounting degree, progressive accounting experience with increasing responsibility, and a stable work history. Candidates coming from either a Controller track or a strong Accounting Manager background will be considered.

Job Description
- Oversee accounting operations for a division, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Manage month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and balance sheet support
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and related internal reports
- Help maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and financial discipline across the division
- Partner with operations leaders to analyze costs, trends, margins, and business performance
- Support budgeting, forecasting, KPI tracking, and financial analysis tied to operational results
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, helping create accountability and process consistency
- Review accounts payable activity, vendor payments, credit card activity, and other transactional accounting items
- Assist with intercompany allocations, chart of accounts maintenance, and reporting consistency
- Support audit activity and maintain strong documentation of financial records, contracts, and related materials
- Identify process improvement opportunities that strengthen reporting, efficiency, and profitability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred
- Strong experience with financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and internal controls
- Prior leadership or team oversight experience strongly preferred
- Experience in transportation, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or another operationally intensive environment preferred
- Strong Excel and financial analysis skills
- ERP experience preferred
- CPA or CMA is a plus
- Stable work history with demonstrated career progression
