Location: This is a full-time, on-site role based in Uniondale, New York, offering the chance to work alongside a collaborative legal team in a busy plaintiff personal injury practice.

Note: Must have at least 2 years of plaintiff personal injury paralegal experience and the ability to manage files from intake through resolution. Experience with both pre-litigation and litigation is required. SmartAdvocate experience is strongly preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Job Description

  • Manage a full caseload of plaintiff personal injury matters from inception through settlement or trial
  • Handle pre-litigation tasks including requesting and reviewing medical records and bills, preparing demand packages, and communicating with insurance adjusters
  • Support litigation matters by drafting and filing pleadings, motions, and discovery
  • Track court dates, litigation deadlines, and case milestones to keep files moving efficiently
  • Assist attorneys with depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation
  • Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, experts, and opposing counsel
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date case files and documentation
  • Help drive cases forward with urgency, attention to detail, and strong follow-through

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of plaintiff personal injury paralegal experience
  • Strong knowledge of both pre-litigation and litigation workflows
  • Ability to manage cases with minimal hand-holding
  • Experience drafting legal documents and handling discovery
  • Familiarity with e-filing systems
  • SmartAdvocate experience preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
  • Strong organization, communication, and multitasking skills
