Location: Hybrid in Southfield, Michigan, conveniently located near Detroit. Tuesday and Thursday are team-wide in-office days.
Note: Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Michigan and have at least 3+ years of directly relevant commercial litigation experience. We strongly prefer 5+ years of experience managing sophisticated business disputes.

Job Description
- Manage sophisticated commercial litigation and high-stakes business disputes
- Handle matters involving breach of contract, business torts, shareholder or partnership disputes, fraud, fiduciary duty claims, and related business litigation
- Develop case strategy and analyze complex legal and factual issues
- Manage written discovery, document production, and other discovery responsibilities
- Take and defend depositions of parties, lay witnesses, and experts
- Draft persuasive pleadings, briefs, and substantive motions
- Argue motions as appropriate based on experience and matter needs
- Conduct legal research and provide practical analysis to clients and the litigation team
- Work effectively with expert witnesses
- Participate in mediation, negotiation, settlement strategy, and client counseling
- Prepare cases for trial and take increasingly meaningful ownership of matters
- Communicate directly with sophisticated clients and build credibility quickly
- Collaborate with experienced attorneys while remaining receptive to mentorship and feedback
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Active Michigan law license
- 3+ years of directly relevant commercial litigation experience required
- 5+ years of sophisticated commercial litigation experience strongly preferred
- Experience handling complex business disputes
- Experience developing litigation strategy and managing discovery
- Experience taking and defending depositions
- Strong substantive motion drafting and legal writing skills
- Strong oral advocacy and communication skills
- Ability to manage matters with meaningful independence
- Strong client-management and interpersonal skills
- Professional, polished, collaborative, and coachable
- Ability to analyze complex issues strategically
- Trial experience is a plus but is not required
