Job Openings Associate Attorney (Retail Trade and Environmental)

About the job Associate Attorney (Retail Trade and Environmental)

Pay: $178,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year

Why This Is a Great Opportunity

  • Join a nationally respected litigation boutique where you'll do substantive, complex work across two dynamic practice areas — consumer product compliance and environmental law — without the bureaucratic drag of a large firm
  • Defend high-profile matters including Proposition 65 lawsuits, California Legal Remedies Act claims, Unfair Competition and False Advertising claims, property contamination cases, and federal Clean Water Act citizen suits
  • Get client-facing experience early and often — this firm puts associates in the room, not behind the scenes
  • A clear, realistic path to shareholder for those who invest in their own professional development — no moving goalposts
  • Collaborate with a tight-knit, inclusive team that takes diversity seriously and builds loyalty that lasts
  • Competitive compensation plus full coverage of your health and dental insurance premiums and 30% of dependent premiums — a genuinely generous benefits package
  • Substantial bonus potential: hours-based bonuses up to 45% of base salary, plus annual merit-based bonuses tied to results, contributions, and business development
  • A 1,800-hour annual billable target with approved pro bono (up to 100 hours) and DEI work (up to 25 hours) counting toward that goal

Location: This role is based in our San Francisco office. We operate on a hybrid schedule with a 3-day in-office expectation — a setup designed to keep the team connected while giving you the flexibility to do your best work.

Note: Candidates must be admitted to practice in California. Experience with Proposition 65, consumer product compliance, and/or environmental litigation is strongly preferred; this is not a general litigation position.
