Location: Primarily in-office in New York's Hudson Valley, with limited flexibility available in certain circumstances. We prefer local candidates who enjoy collaborating closely with clients and colleagues.

Note: Candidates must be admitted to practice law in New York and have at least 3 years of real estate law experience. Commercial real estate transaction experience is highly desirable.

Job Description

  • Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, and related real estate documents.
  • Handle commercial and residential real estate transactions from contract through closing.
  • Conduct title and survey review and perform due diligence.
  • Advise clients regarding zoning, land use, development, and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Represent clients in acquisitions, dispositions, financing transactions, and closings.
  • Coordinate with lenders, title companies, developers, brokers, and government agencies.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while providing practical legal guidance.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas to deliver outstanding client service.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active New York bar admission.
  • 3+ years of real estate law experience.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Commercial real estate transaction experience is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
