Location: This role is based onsite initially in Duncanville, Texas, with the opportunity for hybrid or remote flexibility down the road based on performance and fit.
Note: Must have hands-on tax return preparation experience, working knowledge of QuickBooks, and the ability to identify whether books are clean or need additional work before returns can be finalized. Drake experience is strongly preferred.

Job Description
- Prepare and help finalize individual and business tax returns with a strong focus on accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Review source documents, financials, and bookkeeping records to identify missing items, inconsistencies, and issues that need to be resolved before filing
- Use QuickBooks to assess whether books are tax-ready or require cleanup and follow-up work
- Help move returns through the full process from initial prep to final review readiness
- Support state tax work and help ensure all required steps and filings are completed properly
- Communicate with internal team members and clients regarding missing documents, open items, and next steps
- Assist with return workflow management so projects stay on track during busy season and throughout the year
- Support a high-standard review process and help reduce bottlenecks by delivering organized, well-prepared files
- Contribute to a detail-oriented, service-driven environment where strong follow-through matters
Qualifications
- 3+ years of tax preparation experience
- CPA or EA required
- Experience preparing individual returns and exposure to business returns
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks and bookkeeping review
- Ability to recognize when books are clean versus when additional work is needed
- Strong organizational skills and follow-through
- Comfortable working in an office setting initially
- Drake Tax experience preferred
