Location: Hybrid role based in the Islandia area. This position offers flexibility, but the attorney must be able to attend court appearances, depositions, arbitrations, and other in-person litigation events as needed, with a strong preference for candidates living in Nassau or Suffolk County.
Note: Must have hands-on commercial litigation experience and be comfortable independently handling active files, court appearances, depositions, motion practice, and discovery.

Job Description
- Handle commercial litigation and general civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery demands and responses, and other court filings
- Conduct legal research and prepare strong written work product suitable for direct client and court use
- Appear in court and participate in conferences, hearings, depositions, and arbitrations
- Manage large discovery productions, including eDiscovery workflows and document review strategy
- Work with forensic IT and accounting professionals on complex matters where needed
- Maintain direct contact with clients and provide practical updates and strategic guidance
- Manage numerous files and deadlines independently with strong organization and follow-through
- Prepare cases for trial and assist with trial strategy, exhibits, witnesses, and related litigation tasks
Qualifications
- 2+ years of commercial litigation and civil litigation experience
- Admitted to practice law in New York
- Strong hands-on experience with court appearances, depositions, motions, and discovery
- Excellent legal writing and research skills
- Experience handling e-filing and familiarity with New York state court procedure
- Ability to manage files independently and interact directly with clients
- Trial and arbitration experience preferred
- Experience with large discovery productions, eDiscovery, and outside experts preferred
