Location: Los Angeles, CA (in-office). This role is on-site today, with the possibility of a hybrid schedule in the future as you ramp up and prove success.

Note: Personal injury experience is a must to be considered.

Job Description

  • Support attorneys through all phases of personal injury litigation, from intake through settlement or trial
  • Draft and manage discovery (requests, responses, meet-and-confer support, and motion prep as needed)
  • Prepare and serve litigation documents (notices, depo documents, expert-related filings, etc.)
  • File litigation documents with state courts and track all deadlines to ensure compliance
  • Obtain and organize medical, insurance, employment, and other records via requests and subpoenas
  • Communicate with clients professionally, handle routine updates, and escalate legal issues appropriately
  • Maintain organized digital case files and ensure adherence to firm processes and court rules
  • Assist with investigations, case summaries, and compiling materials for mediation, settlement, and trial

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of paralegal experience supporting personal injury litigation (or a paralegal certificate with strong PI litigation exposure)
  • Hands-on experience drafting discovery and/or discovery responses and managing litigation deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of personal injury litigation procedures and terminology
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with competing deadlines
  • Strong written communication, organization, and follow-through
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Adobe; case management software experience is a plus (Casepeer or FileVine)
