Location

This is a fully on-site position in Midtown Manhattan, offering convenient access to public transportation and major subway lines.

Note

This role requires prior family law paralegal experience supporting divorce and custody matters in New York courts.

Job Description

  • Support attorneys in contested divorce, custody, support, and postnuptial matters
  • Manage cases from intake through resolution under attorney supervision
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands, and responses
  • Coordinate and organize financial discovery involving assets, income, and lifestyle documentation
  • Prepare court filings and ensure compliance with New York Supreme Court and Family Court rules
  • Handle NYSCEF e-filings and service confirmations
  • Communicate directly with clients while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
  • Track deadlines, court appearances, and case milestones
  • Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and hearing materials

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of family law paralegal experience
  • Experience with New York Supreme Court and Family Court filings
  • Strong NYSCEF e-filing experience
  • Background supporting divorce, custody, and support matters
  • High level of discretion and professionalism
  • Strong organizational and written communication skills
