Location: This role is based in Anchorage, Alaska. On-site is strongly preferred, especially for this leadership position, but a hybrid arrangement may be considered for an exceptional candidate. The role includes office, field, construction site, and occasional statewide travel.

Note: Qualified candidates should have strong marketing, branding, communications, digital strategy, and leadership experience. Construction, AEC, real estate development, architecture, engineering, or professional services marketing experience is highly preferred but not required.

Job Description

  • Lead marketing, communications, branding, public relations, and growth strategies that increase market visibility and support long-term company goals.
  • Drive awareness and top-of-funnel engagement across Alaska and targeted markets through digital marketing, social media, PR, events, storytelling, and community involvement.
  • Build and maintain a consistent, compelling brand identity across company platforms, campaigns, communications, and affiliated entities.
  • Oversee website strategy, social media, SEO, content development, photography, videography, digital advertising, and marketing campaigns.
  • Lead market intelligence and competitive research to identify trends, opportunities, emerging markets, and strategic positioning advantages.
  • Support client targeting and business development by helping position the company early in the project lifecycle.
  • Partner with preconstruction and executive leadership to strengthen pursuit strategy, messaging, differentiation, and proposal win rates.
  • Ensure proposals and presentations clearly communicate the company's value proposition, culture, capabilities, and differentiators.
  • Develop marketing initiatives that showcase projects, employees, safety, culture, community involvement, and industry leadership.
  • Collaborate with HR and leadership on employer branding, recruiting visibility, employee engagement, and internal communications.
  • Oversee company events, industry conferences, sponsorships, award submissions, stakeholder engagement, and public-facing initiatives.
  • Manage external agencies, creative vendors, photographers, PR firms, media partners, and marketing consultants.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to track campaign effectiveness, qualified leads, RFP invitations, engagement metrics, and contribution to business growth.
  • Lead and mentor marketing team members and external partners while promoting accountability, creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current on emerging marketing trends, AI tools, communication technologies, and strategies that help differentiate the company in a competitive marketplace.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of marketing, branding, communications, advertising, or growth experience.
  • 3+ years of leadership, strategic marketing management, or team/vendor management experience.
  • Experience leading integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
  • Experience managing social media platforms and digital content strategies, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with tools such as HubSpot, Google Analytics, WordPress, SEO platforms, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar marketing technologies.
  • Strong writing, storytelling, presentation, verbal communication, and brand messaging skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, project management, and execution skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Graphic Design, Journalism, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • 8+ years of marketing or growth leadership experience is preferred.
  • Experience in construction, AEC, real estate development, architecture, engineering, professional services, or multi-brand marketing is preferred.
  • Experience with employer branding, recruitment marketing, corporate culture, PR, agencies, vendors, and media relationships is preferred.
