Note: Candidates must have 2+ years of labor, employment law, and/or employee benefits experience and be admitted to the New York Bar.

Job Description

  • Advise clients on ERISA and employee benefits matters, including compliance, counseling, and litigation.
  • Work directly with benefit funds, labor unions, and employee-focused clients.
  • Assist in designing and administering health and retirement benefit plans.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws governing employee benefit plans.
  • Support labor and employment law matters as part of a diverse legal practice.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare motions, briefs, agreements, and legal opinions.
  • Participate in client meetings, strategy discussions, negotiations, and court proceedings.
  • Collaborate with experienced attorneys while developing increasing responsibility over client matters.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to the New York Bar.
  • 2+ years of labor, employment law, employee benefits, or ERISA experience.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters while providing outstanding client service.
  • Commitment to employee rights and collaborative client representation is highly valued.
