Location
Chicago, IL — On-site. Candidates should reside in or be willing to relocate to the Chicago area before starting.

Must have an active Illinois Bar license or be eligible to waive into Illinois, along with 3+ years of transferable corporate, finance, or transactional legal experience.

Job Description
- Represent lenders and borrowers in sophisticated corporate finance transactions.
- Assist with the documentation, negotiation, and closing of financing transactions.
- Work on asset-based, real estate, and cash flow loans.
- Draft and negotiate credit agreements, loan documents, and related transaction documents.
- Coordinate transaction matters through closing and help keep deals moving efficiently.
- Analyze legal and business issues and develop practical solutions for clients.
- Work closely with attorneys, clients, lenders, borrowers, and other transaction participants.
- Take ownership of assigned matters while collaborating with a well-established Corporate Finance team.
- Apply strong attention to detail and sound judgment in a fast-paced transactional environment.
Qualifications
- Active Illinois Bar membership or ability to waive into Illinois.
- 3+ years of corporate, finance, transactional, or other transferable legal experience.
- Finance transaction experience representing lenders and/or borrowers preferred.
- Experience with asset-based, real estate, and/or cash flow loans is a plus.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Excellent legal drafting and analytical skills.
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and organized.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to work on-site in Chicago.
