Location

Miami, FL with a flexible hybrid schedule allowing 1–2 remote days per week.

Note

This role requires an active Florida Bar license and at least 2 years of direct medical malpractice litigation experience. Candidates without med mal experience will not be considered.

Job Description

  • Defend medical malpractice claims on behalf of hospitals, physicians, nurses, and healthcare providers
  • Manage cases from early litigation through trial preparation alongside senior attorneys
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and substantive legal memoranda
  • Take and defend fact and expert depositions as experience allows
  • Work with medical experts on record review, case strategy, and preparation
  • Participate in mediations and strategic case evaluations
  • Communicate directly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel in a professional manner

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Active Florida Bar license in good standing
  • 2+ years of medical malpractice litigation experience
  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a team-based environment
