Job Description
- Support attorneys with day-to-day litigation case management from intake through resolution
- Draft, revise, and prepare legal documents, correspondence, and case materials
- Maintain case files, calendars, deadlines, and litigation-related documentation
- Communicate with clients, outside counsel, medical providers, and other parties involved in active matters
- Assist with discovery, records collection, document organization, and trial preparation
- Conduct research, investigations, and fact gathering to support case development
- Help ensure matters move forward efficiently, accurately, and on time
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal or Litigation Legal Assistant
- Bachelors degree or associates degree in paralegal studies
- Strong proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and case management software
- Strong written, verbal, organizational, and follow-through skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage time-sensitive matters
- Detail-oriented, dependable, professional, and team-oriented
- North Carolina paralegal certification preferred
- North Carolina notary certification preferred, or willingness to obtain it
