Job Description
- Defend employers in labor and employment litigation matters involving wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour, PAGA, class actions, and related disputes.
- Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions, discovery motions, and other substantive employment litigation filings.
- Manage discovery, document review, witness preparation, depositions, and case development.
- Analyze employment claims, assess risk, and help develop litigation strategy.
- Work closely with partners on complex, high-stakes employment defense matters.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, witnesses, and court personnel.
- Prepare for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial.
- Deliver polished, persuasive, and strategic legal writing.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of litigation experience.
- Active California Bar license in good standing.
- Defense-side labor and employment litigation experience required.
- Experience with wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, PAGA, class actions, wage and hour, or related employment disputes.
- Strong legal research, writing, motion practice, discovery, and deposition experience.
- Trial preparation, mediation, arbitration, or hearing experience preferred.
- Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage sophisticated litigation matters.
- Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach.
