Location: Port Charlotte, FL — This is an on-site opportunity for an attorney who enjoys working collaboratively with a team and being directly involved in the day-to-day practice of law.

Note: Must have an active Florida Bar license in good standing and 1+ year of directly relevant personal injury experience. This is an on-site role with limited flexibility for hybrid or remote work.

Job Description

  • Represent clients in personal injury matters from case evaluation through resolution
  • Manage and advance an assigned caseload while keeping cases organized and moving forward
  • Evaluate liability, damages, medical records, insurance coverage, and overall case value
  • Communicate directly with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, medical providers, and other involved parties
  • Draft pleadings, demands, correspondence, discovery, motions, and other legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies tailored to each client's circumstances
  • Negotiate claims and settlements while protecting clients' interests
  • Prepare cases for litigation, hearings, depositions, mediation, and trial as appropriate
  • Work closely with attorneys and support staff to provide responsive, high-quality client service

Qualifications

  • Active Florida Bar license in good standing
  • 1+ year of personal injury law experience
  • Strong legal writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Sound judgment and the ability to manage multiple active matters
  • Strong client-service mindset and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work on-site in Port Charlotte, FL
