Location

Hybrid role based in Richmond, Virginia, with work performed both remotely and from the office in the historic Shockoe Slip district.

Note

This role requires prior complex litigation paralegal experience. Candidates without hands-on litigation support experience through discovery and trial will not be considered.

Job Description

  • Manage litigation matters from initial incident through trial
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery responses, and legal filings
  • Issue FOIAs and subpoenas and track document collection and production
  • Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Communicate with attorneys, clients, witnesses, and vendors
  • Assist with deposition preparation, trial exhibits, and trial support
  • Maintain case timelines, deadlines, and litigation calendars
  • Serve as a hands-on trial paralegal when needed

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of complex litigation paralegal experience
  • Experience supporting cases through discovery and trial
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Four-year college degree preferred
  • Strong technology proficiency preferred
  • Ability to travel occasionally for trial support
