Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Location: Houston, TX 77056 | Full-Time, On-Site. Work in our Houston office alongside experienced partners and associates in a collaborative, professional environment that encourages learning and career development.

Note: Active Texas Bar membership and 1+ years of experience practicing law are required. Experience in insurance defense, commercial litigation, or personal injury litigation is preferred, but we welcome attorneys from other backgrounds who have excellent research and writing skills and a genuine interest in insurance coverage litigation.

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our litigation team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys, tackle challenging legal issues, and take an active role in meaningful cases.

• Research and analyze first-party and third-party insurance coverage issues.
• Draft detailed insurance coverage opinions, legal memoranda, motions, and other litigation documents.
• Assist in defending lawsuits involving homeowners and automobile insurance coverage claims.
• Handle insurance coverage disputes and support litigation strategies from case evaluation through resolution.
• Participate in discovery, case preparation, and other aspects of civil litigation.
• Assist with commercial litigation, business disputes, and securities or arbitration matters as needed.
• Work directly with partners and fellow associates to develop effective legal arguments and client solutions.
• Take ownership of assigned projects while expanding your litigation, research, and writing experience.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas State Bar membership in good standing.
• 1+ years of experience practicing law, ideally in a litigation-focused environment.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attorneys and support staff.
• Insurance coverage, insurance defense, commercial litigation, or personal injury litigation experience preferred.
• Motivated, team-oriented, and interested in long-term professional growth.
