Shipping & Receiving Manager - Manufacturing

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Location:
Albion, Michigan – This is a full-time, on-site leadership position where you'll oversee daily shipping, receiving, warehouse, and freight operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Note:
Applicants must have 3+ years of shipping, receiving, freight, or logistics experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, including experience coordinating freight with production schedules. Supervisory experience is strongly preferred.

Job Description

• Oversee daily shipping, receiving, warehouse, and freight operations.
• Coordinate outbound shipments to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
• Schedule carriers, arrange freight, and monitor shipment progress.
• Lead and support shipping, receiving, and warehouse personnel.
• Ensure incoming materials are received, inspected, documented, and routed accurately.
• Verify shipment quantities, packaging, documentation, and delivery requirements.
• Communicate shipment updates, delays, and freight issues with production and leadership.
• Maintain accurate inventory, freight, shipping, and receiving records.
• Resolve freight claims, delivery discrepancies, and carrier issues.
• Monitor freight costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive shipping and warehouse operation.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and transportation requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of shipping, receiving, freight, or logistics experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience coordinating freight with production schedules and project timelines.
• Experience supervising warehouse, shipping, or receiving personnel preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ERP, inventory, or shipping management systems preferred.
• Experience coordinating flatbed, LTL, or oversized freight preferred.
• Forklift or material-handling experience is a plus.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Albion, Michigan.
